Commercial Drivers License Class A Log Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A Log Truck Driver to join our team at Boatright Timber. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers equipped with various trailer types, including logging trailers and lowboy trailers. Your primary responsibility will be to safely and efficiently transport logs and other equipment across routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with automatic transmissions across diverse routes, including urban and rural areas Load and unload timber using knuckle boom loader. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal and state regulations Route driving efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to safety protocols and traffic laws Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and recent commercial driving experience Experience driving various trailer types such as double bunk log trailers and lowboys. Ability to load & unload timber safely using loaders or manual methods when necessary (training can be provided) Knowledge of route planning and delivery procedures for efficient movement Strong understanding of safety regulations related to commercial trucking and freight handling Physical ability to handle the demands of truck driving including long hours on the road and lifting heavy loads when required Join our team and take pride in delivering timber safely across North Florida!
