Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Specialist to manage, market, and grow a book of commercial business. This role is ideal for a knowledgeable insurance professional who understands risk management, thrives in a client-facing environment, and can confidently advise business owners on coverage strategy. You will work directly with business clients, carriers, and leadership to structure tailored insurance programs across multiple industries. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients Conduct risk assessments and coverage reviews Market accounts to carriers and negotiate terms Prepare and present proposals to business owners and executives Advise clients on risk mitigation strategies Cross-sell additional lines of coverage when appropriate Maintain strong carrier relationships Ensure policy accuracy, renewals, endorsements, and compliance Lines of Business General Liability Commercial Property Workers' Compensation Commercial Auto Umbrella / Excess Liability Professional Liability Builders Risk Inland Marine Cyber Liability Directors & Officers Qualifications Active 2-20 / 4-40 Florida License (required) 2+ years of commercial insurance experience preferred Strong understanding of commercial underwriting and coverage forms Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to analyze risk and structure comprehensive programs Self-motivated and growth-oriented mindset Compensation Competitive base salary (depending on experience) Commission structure Growth opportunities within the firm
