Job Description

CertaPro Painters of Charlotte and Matthews is hiring a Commercial Sales Manager to lead our estimating and sales team. This is a process-driven role for someone who can run a disciplined estimating and sales operation, AND build Client relationships. You'll start by learning the business with a small personal sales goal, then transition into leading the team and owning the performance of the commercial division.
What You'll Be Responsible For:
Leading a disciplined, repeatable sales and estimating process Running a structured, repeatable sales and estimating process Ensuring estimates align with real-world production capabilities and crew execution Understanding the production limitations of painting projects Ensuring accuracy and consistency in bids, scopes, and pricing Leading and mentoring sales associates and estimators Doing takeoffs and developing bids Working closely with production to ensure jobs are set up correctly Supporting client relationships when needed Hiring and developing additional sales and estimating talent Partnering with marketing on events Compensation Base salary: $80,000 Commission on personal production + team performance Realistic first year total compensation: $120K-$150K+ Uncapped commission Benefits Company vehicle (take-home) + fuel card Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Paid training Client entertainment budget What We're Looking For Experience in commercial B2B sales and estimating Background in commercial services (painting, construction, restoration, etc.) A real-world understanding of how painting projects are actually completed Experience leading a team of estimators, project managers, or salespeople Strong attention to detail and follow-through Ability to ensure bid accuracy Comfortable working across sales, estimating, and production Ability to both close deals and lead others This role is ideal for someone who: Is process-driven , thorough, and organized Takes pride in accurate estimates and well-run projects Can balance field and office work Enjoys developing and mentoring a team Wants to build and shape a growing commercial division Important This is not a pure relationship sales role; estimating and production are equally important Candidates who thrive here are disciplined, detail-oriented, and strong in process and execution Why This Role Strong reputation and Google 4.8 rating out of 200+ reviews make it easier to sell.
