Job Description

Are you passionate about dance, organization, and helping young performers reach their full potential? Join our dynamic team at Limitless Performing Arts Academy as a Competition Assistant , where you'll work side-by-side with our Competition Director to help manage, motivate, and support our award-winning competition teams! Position Overview The Competition Assistant plays an essential role in the preparation, coordination, and execution of all competition-related programs and events. This position requires strong communication, time management, and leadership skills — and a love for teamwork and creativity! Responsibilities Work closely with the Competition Director to plan and execute all aspects of competition season. Attend all required competitions, conventions, team bonding events, and competition-related activities. Teach competition rehearsals and competition classes (and may teach recreational classes if desired). Assist with lesson planning, goal setting, routine cleaning, and choreography support. Help with music cutting/editing and competition and convention registrations. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and meet all deadlines set by directors. Collaborate with the Competition Director on scheduling, feedback, and ongoing dancer development. Benefits Paid hourly for competition weekends and rehearsals. Food stipend provided during competition weekends. Paid travel and lodging when attending competitions. Paid for recitals, showcases, and special events. PTO (Paid Time Off) offered after initial employment period. Opportunities to teach additional recreational classes for extra hours and pay. Ideal Candidate Has experience teaching or assisting in dance instruction (competition experience preferred). Thrives in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment. Is reliable, organized, and committed to student success. Loves creating positive, motivating spaces for dancers to grow! Schedule & Availability Monday and Wednesday evenings Extra Rehearsals on some Fridays and Saturday morning (scheduled in advanced) Required Competitions and Convention (these fall on the weekends) Required recitals and showcases (these fall on weekends and other evenings and are schedule in advanced) Compensation $17.00
