Connection Center Coordinator

Connection Center Coordinator "Love in the name of Christ" is a Christian nonprofit organization that mobilizes local churches to help individual and families who are in need by building supportive relationships, developing life skills and connecting them with critical resources and services.

Position Purpose :

To oversee the Love INC of Oceana County Connection Center, the heart of the ministry and entry point into relationship between our partner churches and struggling neighbors, by:

• Developing and leading a team of volunteers from our partner churches to discover and verify the needs of our struggling neighbors.
• Educating volunteers on the philosophy of Redemptive Compassion and how it is implemented in the Connection Center.
• Evaluating each neighbor's situation and connecting them in a timely manner to community, partner church, and/or other Love INC ministries, as appropriate, using prayer and discernment.
• Being a point person for partner churches and community agencies looking to connect clients with Love INC Expected hours & days :
• Part Time, average of 20 hours per week.
• Days & Hours are flexible & may vary.

Current Hours:

Mon-Thurs, 9am-3pm) Pay will be determined by previous experience.

Qualifications:

• A relationship with Jesus
• A caring heart for others
• Experience with Case management
• Friendly demeanor
• Ability to encourage and direct volunteer intake workers
• The ability to empathize with hurting people without assuming their pain.
