Responsibilities Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using tools like Buildertrend. Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project scope, schedule, and budget requirements. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to determine accurate project costs. Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Prepare bid proposals, cost summaries, and contract documents that clearly communicate project estimates. Monitor ongoing projects for cost control and identify potential budget overruns early to implement corrective actions. Assist in contract review and support construction management teams during project execution to ensure alignment with initial estimates. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes and site operations. Proficiency in estimating software such as Buildertrend is highly preferred, however it is mandatory to have some knowledge of building estimates using construction software. Solid knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management practices. Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors and subcontractors. Ability to perform accurate and itemized quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost control measures. Must have previous sales experience or have skills in this department. Hands-on construction site experience is a plus for understanding field conditions impacting estimates. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and stakeholders. $72,800.00 - $89,000.00 per year
