Competitive salary based on experience; optional production upside available About Us We are a boutique commercial insurance and risk management firm specializing in construction accounts. We work closely with business owners, CFOs, project executives, underwriters, claims professionals, attorneys, and consultants. We are looking for an experienced Construction Insurance Account Executive / Broker to help manage and lead sophisticated commercial insurance accounts. This is primarily a high-level account service, renewal strategy, and technical brokerage role. Sales and production opportunities are available for the right candidate, but production is not required. Responsibilities Serve as a high level point of contact for construction insurance clients Manage renewal strategy, timelines, submissions, proposals, and carrier follow-up Review coverage, pricing, exposures, loss runs, experience modifications, and policy terms Communicate with clients, underwriters, claims professionals, and internal team members Identify coverage gaps, underwriting concerns, claims issues, and risk management opportunities Review subcontractor certificates, insurance requirements, and construction-related coverage issues Coordinate with account managers to ensure accurate and timely client service Maintain accurate documentation in the agency management system Participate in new business opportunities only where appropriate and mutually agreed Qualifications Strong commercial Property & Casualty insurance experience required Construction insurance experience strongly preferred New York Property & Casualty license required or ability to obtain promptly Experience with contractors, developers, construction managers, real estate owners, or trade contractors preferred Strong understanding of renewals, carrier marketing, coverage review, claims coordination, and client service Ability to communicate professionally with senior-level clients and carrier representatives Experience with Applied TAM, Applied Epic, or similar agency systems helpful Strong organizational, written communication, and follow-up skills Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a seasoned commercial insurance professional who understands construction risk and can help lead complex accounts. This person should be technically strong, organized, responsive, and comfortable working directly with clients, carriers, and internal team members. This is not a cold-calling sales position. For candidates who have the ability and interest to produce new business, the firm can provide an appropriate commission or incentive structure. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience and role scope. Optional production compensation is available for candidates who originate or help close new business.
