Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer and be a vital part of transforming blueprints into reality! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from commercial renovations to new builds, utilizing your hands-on skills and enthusiasm for construction. As a Construction Laborer, you will assist skilled tradespeople, operate tools and equipment, and contribute to safe, efficient job sites. This paid position is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their construction expertise and grow within a vibrant industry. Responsibilities Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, for an organized environment Use hand tools and power tools to support tasks such as framing, drywall installation, and finishing work Perform heavy lifting of materials like lumber, concrete forms, rebar, and other supplies necessary for project progress Support concrete work including mixing, pouring, finishing, and pumping to achieve smooth surfaces Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and assist with layout tasks Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts or concrete pumps under supervision to move materials efficiently Aid in masonry work including bricklaying, stucco application, and tile laying for various structures Support carpentry tasks like trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and roof installation to meet project standards Assist with demolition, restoration, or renovation activities as needed to prepare sites for new construction or repairs Performing tasks such as caulking, plastering, or working at heights on scaffolding or roofs Requirements Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction tools and equipment are highly desirable Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, and performing manual labor in various weather conditions Knowledge of construction estimating processes or concrete finishing techniques is a plus Valid driver's license with commercial driving experience is advantageous for transporting materials or equipment Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors Embark on a rewarding career in construction where every day brings new challenges and opportunities!
