Construction Laborer

Job Summary You can build a lot of stuff but not very often do you get to build cool things and help solve challenging problems every day! In this vital role at Atlantic Structural, you will support our skilled tradespeople by performing a variety of hands-on tasks across a variety of unique projects. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to the complettion of safe, efficient, and high-quality projects. Whether you're assisting with lifting a building, shoring a lighthouses or repairing a structurally compromised building, your efforts will be essential to our ability to transform ideas and engineering into reality. This position represents a rare opportunity to access the structural services industry. Your on-the-job training and skills development will expose you to many opportunities for advancement as a valued member of Atlantic Structural's structural services team. Duties Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment Handle and operate hand tools and power tools such as drills, saws, hammers, and grinders with proper safety precautions Support tasks including carpentry, timber framing, steel fabrication, cribbing, shoring, building lifting, concrete formwork, structural repairs and more! Participate in repair/preservation projects using appropriate company safety procedures Material handling and transportation when necessary Support both demolition and restoration activities including keeping tools, equipment and site clean and ready for next steps Follow instructions from Project Manager or Project Engineer to ensure quality standards are met efficiently Qualifications Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and construction techniques would be beneficial Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, operate equipment, perform manual labor and support your team throughout the day Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately Valid driver's license is required There is much opportunity for growth with Atlantic Structural.
