Construction Project Accountant

We're looking for an experienced Construction Project Accountant to support a large-scale, ground-up residential project in Queens. This is an on-site role (office/project site), working closely with the Project Executive and Project Managers, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate project financials and supporting overall cost control. In terms of background, we're generally targeting candidates with 5-8 years of NYC construction accounting experience, ideally with exposure to projects in the $25M+ range. Strong experience with cost coding, AP, and subcontractor/GC requisitions is important. From a systems standpoint, experience with Sage 300 and Textura/Oracle is required . Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected, and Smartsheet exposure would be a strong plus—particularly candidates who have worked with reporting structures or workflow tracking—but is not a requirement. The role will be involved in managing both hard and soft cost budgets on behalf of the developer/builder, along with purchase orders and day-to-day financial tracking. We're also looking for someone who can contribute from a process standpoint—whether that's helping improve workflows or having prior exposure to implementing or optimizing accounting/construction systems. This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to have a voice in shaping processes and building structure. We're ultimately looking for someone who is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while partnering closely with the project.

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
