March 31, 2026 : Job Summary We are seeking a professional to serve as a Project Engineer. This role involves performing routine project tasks independently and elevating complex issues to a supervisor. The position requires participation in all phases of the contract modification process and at least five years of relevant experience. Responsibilities Consult with customer representatives, cost-sharing partners, and project managers to keep them informed of progress and resolve outstanding problems or potential delays. Arrange and conduct pre-work meetings and participate in coordination, preparatory phase, and safety meetings. Study plans and specifications to understand construction requirements and design criteria. Recommend changes to plans or specifications as needed and provide feedback to designers. Participate in the contract modification process, including preparing scopes of work for RFPs, assisting in government estimates, and reviewing contractor proposals. Develop and implement Quality Assurance Plans for projects, ensuring compliance with regulations. Support onsite Quality Assurance Representatives with construction activities. Monitor contractor work for compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract requirements. Advise the Resident Engineer of potential delays. Review contractor plans and technical submittals, including progress schedules, environmental, safety, and quality control programs. Prepare correspondence regarding contractor performance, RFIs, and other technical issues. Assist in reviewing contractor disputes and claims, making recommendations for resolution. Prepare partial and final payment estimates, including measurement and computation of pay item quantities and verification of materials on hand. Qualifications Engineering Degree (Any Discipline). Five years of experience in Construction Engineering.
