Job Description
Job Summary •Must have experience supervising USACE projects• The Superintendent is the key role to plan, organize, and prepare the site logistics. Schedule all subcontractors to assure the most efficient sequencing of activities. Provide for all field activities related to a project including on-site field administration, supervision and technical management of all construction operations, foremen, subcontractors and other construction-related personnel. Provide quality control by studying contract documents and questioning all uncertain details. Implement Quality Control by continuously walking the job and inspect each trade's work and compare work-in-place to the contract documents. Continuously search for problems and resolve them before the work is executed. Verify implementation of all corrections for non-conformance and punch list items. Ensure final product meets or exceeds contract documents and the customer's needs and requirements within the construction scope and budget. Highlight all issues in detail daily reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Technical Skills Develop, maintain and enforce a project site logistics and facilities plan Implement, maintain and enforce project site safety programs Implement, maintain and enforce project site Quality Control program Coordinate and manage all material deliveries and subcontracts Provide input to the Project Manager on field activities impacting the contract schedule, non compliance and Change Order process Develop look ahead schedules for the successful start-up and turnover of all systems to the client Implement SWPPP measures and documentation as required Assist Project Manager with the preparation of Project Status Report's (PSR) Possess knowledge of all documents associated with the project including plans, specifications, contract, subcontracts, purchase orders, daily correspondence, shop drawings and submittals Maintain a complete and accurate set of working documents and As-Builts Provide technical assistance to all members of the project team Coordinate all field inspections and testing Management Skills Quality Control Management (Preferred) Completion of OSHA 30-Hour Safety Course Effective written and verbal language communication skills Effective computer skills Well-developed and proven negotiating skills Effective time management and organization skills First Aid/CPR certified QC skills
