Saint Paul, MN Salary:

$100-130k + Bonus Controller $100-130k + Bonus and full benefits Express Employment Professionals is assisting a premier manufacturing client with filling a Controller role. The Controller will oversee the organization's accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, financial reporting, and payroll, ensuring compliance with GAAP and corporate accounting standards. Assist with budget and forecast preparation, monitor cash flow, coordinate audits, and report findings to Managing Director, acting as the senior accounting leader responsible for accuracy and internal controls.

Core Duties:

Financial Accounts Payable (vendor invoices, disbursements, 1099's) and Accounts Receivable (customer invoicing, payments) Monthly Financial Management/Month-end close, accounting, analysis, reporting, account reconciliations; etc. Year-end reporting/Consolidation/Audit management Tax Management/Compliance/Reporting; Sales Tax registration & filing; federal and state tax reporting (liaison with corporate parent and outside tax professionals), making payments on behalf of the company Treasury/Banking/Account Rec/Cash management, wire transfers, bank account reconciliations, etc. Other Areas of direct or indirect responsibilities

Financial Systems:

Upgrades, customizations, integration with satellite office

Insurance:

Ensuring proper coverage per corporate standards, certificates of insurance, claims, worker's comp audits

Credit & Collections:

credit approval, collection efforts Fixed asset investments: business case, proper accounting, depreciation Cost Accounting/Transfer Pricing; ensure adherence to corporate standards

HR/Payroll/Benefits:

payroll processing; health/wealth benefits renewals and management ; new employee onboarding, claims Leadership Participate in regular management meetings and decision making

Supervision of Staff:

A/P; A/R, Payroll and Benefits Performance reviews, scheduling, approving PTO, etc.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Managing Director. Works closely with other Departments to ensure effective and efficient financial operations, ensure compliance with internal controls and good accounting practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required Familiarity with financial systems and computer applications (Navision a plus) Knowledge of basic cost accounting principles Strong understanding of GAAP (IFRS a plus)
