Controller

One of our construction and engineering clients is seeking a construction controller to join their team. The Controller reports to the President and is responsible for directing the company's financial and administrative organization. The ideal candidate will have the ability to provide forward looking financial reporting and planning. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $150,000 to $160,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

Financial operations, including working capital, capital expenditures, taxes, budgets and general accounting Develop and direct financial plans in support of the strategic business plan Establish and maintain stable cash flow management models, policies and procedures and ensure cash resources are available for daily operations. Review accounts payable and receivable to maintain balanced cash flow Review work in progress documents with project management staff monthly Set-up and oversee all financial and operational controls and metrics within the organization In conjunction with Executive Management, manage outside lending relationships Establish financial controls and metrics and report status monthly. This includes the project and company levels, projections of sales and profit against actual figures, budgeted expenses against actual spend, and suggests methods of improving the planning process as appropriate Direct the preparation of all financial reports Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures
