Convenience Store Clerk

Job Overview We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Convenience Store Clerk to join our team. Shifts available are days and evenings. In this role, you will provide fast, friendly, and helpful service while helping keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked. This position includes cashiering, stocking, basic food preparation, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for customers. Key Responsibilities Provide prompt, professional, and friendly customer service Greet every customer and thank them as they leave Operate the cash register and accurately process all payment types Follow proper cash handling procedures and maintain an accurate cash drawer Stock shelves, rotate products, and maintain organized displays Prepare basic food and beverage items as needed Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, restrooms, and trash areas Restock coolers and freezers and work in refrigerated areas as needed Monitor fuel pumps and assist customers when required Answer phones in a professional manner Follow company policies and safety procedures at all times Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock is low Help prevent loss by reporting suspicious activity Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Reliable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately Previous retail or cashier experience is a plus, but not required High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 35 lbs Ability to work in various store environments, including cooler/freezer areas Schedule Requirements Flexible availability required, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays Work Environment Fast-paced retail setting with frequent customer interaction Exposure to refrigerated areas, cleaning supplies, and store equipment Why Join Us Flexible scheduling Team-oriented work environment Opportunity for growth and advancement On-the-job training provided How to Apply Apply directly through Indeed with your resume.
