Mariposa Market is hiring a Cook/Prep. We are looking for serious, hard working, team players. •

MUST HAVE COOKING EXPERIENCE

•~This is primarily a prep and package position~ Knowledge of natural organic foods a plus Mariposa Market is a Health Food store located in Willits California. We are looking for an experienced cook to join our kitchen team. We make "grab-n-go" items to be sold in the store , daily soups, salads, pre-made sandwiches and more.

The ideal candidate should:

Show up to work on time & ensure responsibilities are covered when absen.

t Be a team player:

must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a crowded environment. Speak and read English. Ensure proper knife work, food temperature and labeling of food items. Ability to multi-task and go with the flow in a changing situation. Keeps a clean area and washes dishes quickly and efficiently. Outstanding organizational skills and recipe comprehension skills. Be able to cook large amounts of pasta, rice, potatoes, eggs at stove. Maintain constant communication with supervisor to ensure that everybody is updated on pertinent information & is aware of any changes. Fills in for peers and supervisors when necessary. Basic computer skills (print labels etc.) Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to put away deliveries. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and cut large amounts of vegetables. Food handler certified (or willing to take provided course).
