Cooler/Corrugation Warehouse Worker

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cooler/Corrugation Warehouse Worker:

To supply empty cases to the plant to maintain/improve efficiency standards and to insure accurate accounting of cases/ totes/ pallets unloaded off each truck. Also, performs a variety of tasks to complete the process of accurate and effectively loading corrugated boxed product onto a clean trailer for distribution. Manual transfer of empty cases/ pallets/ totes from trucks to empty case conveyor or storage area. Keep the work area neat and clean at all times during the shift. Loads/unloads stacks and moves items as assigned Unloads and accounts for on the receiving document; cases off trailers and route trucks in an efficient manner Count cases, pallets, bossies, and totes from the trailers, while stacking the empty pallets. Accurately pull product for corrugated distribution off the conveyor Properly rotate product designated for corrugation Make boxes to fill with product to be placed in corrugated box, neatly place clearly printed labels on box, and neatly tape box. Taped box to be placed on a pallet topped with a slip sheet. Product to be wrapped and stored in a manner where it stays clean. Load trailers accurately and efficiently via work orders, utilizing properly rotated product. Documenting codes and quantities loaded on truck. Secure load upon completion of load out with load bars. Makes sure trailer is cleaned prior to loading and signs off trailer is clean. Keep work area neat and clean at all times during the shift. Must complete all assigned paperwork. Must follow all safety policies and procedures at all times. Must follow companies GMP's, SOP's, and SSOP's at all times. Must wear appropriate PPE at all times. Perform other related duties as assigned. Clean empty trailers and delivery equipment daily Clean the case washers on a daily basis and document on Master Sanitation Schedule to ensure the proper cleaning of cases being supplied to the plant. Check and document case washer temperature. Check and document cleaning solution concentration at least once per shift according to the Master Sanitation Schedule. Ability to follow detailed directions Ability to multi-task and function in supervised and unsupervised locations Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualification and Education Requirements High School diploma or GED equivalent, required. 1-2 years warehouse experience Successfully pass pre-employment drug screen Preferred Skills Corrugation experience Must be organized and detail oriented Excellent verbal and written communication skills Physical requirements/work environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backwards. Must maintain a valid forklift certification issued by the company. Must be able to work weekends, and varying shifts (days, evening, nights). Position requires frequent lifting, reaching, climbing, pulling, stooping, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to work outside and be exposed to the outside weather/temperature conditions. Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of surroundings.
