Job Description

Job Overview Join our dedicated team as a Correction Officer and play a vital role in maintaining safety, security, and order within correctional facilities. In this dynamic position, you will oversee inmate activities, enforce facility rules, and ensure a secure environment for staff, inmates, and visitors alike. Your proactive approach and strong sense of responsibility will help foster a safe and disciplined atmosphere where rehabilitation and safety are prioritized. Duties Monitor inmate behavior through CCTV surveillance systems to prevent misconduct and ensure safety. Conduct regular patrols of the facility to maintain security, check for hazards, and enforce rules. Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies using conflict management techniques and first aid when necessary. Write detailed reports documenting incidents, disciplinary actions, and daily activities to ensure accurate record-keeping. Enforce facility policies by supervising inmate movements, searches, and interactions with staff and visitors. Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or external audits as required. Manage conflicts through effective communication and de-escalation strategies to maintain order. Requirements Proven experience or background in law enforcement, military service, security, or related fields is highly desirable. Knowledge of CCTV operation, report writing, conflict management, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and first aid procedures. Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while enforcing rules firmly and fairly. Strong communication skills with the ability to document incidents clearly and accurately. Physical fitness to perform patrols, respond quickly to emergencies, and conduct searches effectively. Certification or training in security procedures or law enforcement practices is preferred but not mandatory.
