Counselor PositionPOSITION SUMMARY
This full-time Counselor position will coordinate and provide support services for a caseload of high school students attending St. Clair Technical Education. The Counselor will function as part of a support team that provides preventive services, intervention support, and life skills education, collectively impacting the student's academic, career and technical, personal, and career path achievement.QUALIFICATIONS

Master's Degree in Counseling or related fieldCertification:
State of Michigan School Counselor License (NT)Experience:
Two or more years of recent related experience working with high school-aged youthESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide comprehensive school counseling services aligned with the Michigan Comprehensive Guidance and Counseling Program , including academic, career, and social-emotional support. Deliver targeted small group and classroom-based instruction focused on life skills, career readiness, employability skills, and social-emotional development. Manage a caseload of students assigned by sending districts (LEAs), monitoring progress, supporting goal setting, and ensuring equitable access to services. Collaborate closely with sending district staff, families, and CTE instructors to coordinate wraparound supports that promote student success across educational environments. Provide individual counseling and responsive services to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, including crisis response when necessary. Connect students and families with appropriate community resources and outside agencies; facilitate referrals and maintain ongoing communication to support student well-being.RELATED JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
