Counter Sales Associate

We're looking for a customer-focused Counter Sales Associate to join our wholesale electrical-supplies branch in a fast-paced environment, where you'll engage face-to-face with customers, recommend products, support order processing and be on your feet most of the day.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Provide customer service at the counter, accurately entering orders. Giving accurate product information-serving as a problem-solving resource. Replenish stock and ensure shelves are maintained and products displayed properly. Close out cash box daily, delivering receipts for cash, credit cards and checks to Accounting department. Help develop new business, identify opportunities to create competitive advantage. Assist inside and outside sales people with customer inquiries and order processing. Process returns and exchanges according to the policies of the company. Follow up on existing orders. Pulling and checking orders for customers. Other unrelated duties may be assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Have a solid background of electrical equipment, the uses of, and substitutions when needed. Must be able to compare stock pulled for an order to a ship ticket. Must be able to tolerate continuous periods of standing and walking. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Must have knowledge of stocking procedures for facility. Must represent the company in a positive and professional manner. Time management-strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written. Strong customer service orientation-both external and internal.'

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to lift and carry heavy material, up to 50 lbs. Must be able to climb a ladder. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
