Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Crane Operator and Material Handler to join our construction and logistics team. This vital role combines the precision and safety of operating heavy machinery with the hands-on management of materials across construction sites, warehouses, and shipping yards. As a key player in our operations, you will ensure the efficient movement, lifting, and placement of materials while maintaining strict safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment, contribute to large-scale projects, and develop your expertise in heavy equipment operation and materials handling. Responsibilities Operate cranes, boom trucks, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position construction materials. Rigging loads properly to ensure secure lifting and transport of heavy or awkward items. Handle materials on-site or in warehouses, including loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving goods with precision. Assist with construction site activities by supporting the assembly of structures and moving supplies as needed. Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Maintain accurate records of materials handled, equipment usage logs, and safety documentation. Collaborate with team members to coordinate material flow and support project timelines effectively. Qualifications Proven experience operating cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, excavators, or similar heavy equipment in construction or warehouse environments. Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for driving large vehicles on-site or between locations. Skilled in rigging techniques for safe lifting operations. Hands-on experience with materials handling, shipping & receiving processes within construction or warehouse settings. Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and OSHA standards. Ability to operate backhoes and excavators confidently; previous construction site experience is highly valued. $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
