Job Overview We are seeking a dependable Seasonal Laborer for Ground Crew specializing in Snow Removal. This role is essential in maintaining safe and accessible outdoor environments during winter months. The ideal candidate will have outdoor work experience and a strong commitment to safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a physically active setting, contributing to community safety and property maintenance. This is a seasonal, weather-dependent position . Crew members will help keep residential and commercial properties safe and accessible during snow and ice events. To ensure we take care of our top talent who reliably show up when called, we offer a highly competitive pay structure including monthly standby retainers and seasonal completion bonuses.

Hourly Rate:

$20.00 - $22.00 per hour (Based on experience)

Monthly Standby Retainer:

$300 per month (Paid November - March just to be on call, even if it doesn't snow)

Guaranteed Storm Minimum:

Minimum 4 hours of pay every time you are called out.

End-of-Season Loyalty Bonus:

$250.00 cash bonus paid on April 1st for perfect attendance across all storm call-outs.

Location:

Jewett City, CT area. Responsibilities Perform snow removal duties using appropriate equipment such as shovels, snow blowers, or plows to clear pathways, driveways, parking lots, and other designated areas. Assist with the spreading of salt or de-icing materials to ensure surfaces are safe for pedestrians and vehicles. Conduct routine inspections of work areas to identify hazards and ensure proper safety procedures are followed. Maintain and operate outdoor equipment safely and efficiently. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during snow removal activities. Work collaboratively with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively under varying weather conditions. Qualifications Prior outdoor work experience preferred, especially in physically demanding environments. Ability to operate outdoor equipment safely and responsibly. Strong adherence to safety protocols and procedures. Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in cold weather conditions. Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours during snow events. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
