Role:
Fine Fettle is seeking a driven and experienced Cultivation Supervisor to lead our cultivation team at our cutting-edge, 40,000 square foot production facility in Bloomfield, CT. Reporting to the Senior Production Manager, you will oversee cannabis production, ensure plant health, and drive operational efficiency. In this role, you'll identify plant health issues, coordinate with facility teams, and keep daily operations on track by maintaining strict adherence to the cultivation schedule and providing clear direction to team leads. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with expertise in cannabis cultivation, a passion for plant care, and a commitment to safety and compliance. Are Not Limited To:
Serve as a Key Employee [ACKE] within the facility, ensuring seamless operations by providing support and coverage for team members as needed.

Supervise cultivation technicians and leads, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.

Oversee the daily operations of an indoor cannabis cultivation facility, including the cloning, planting, plant maintenance, harvesting, and cleaning.

Implement the cultivation plan, SOPs, protocols and assign duties to cultivation personnel.

Uphold a set harvest schedule, cloning schedule, and rotation of growth stages.

Implement, train, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures for the cultivation department.

Schedule cultivation labor based on a set workload and harvest schedule.

Oversee a consistent Integrated Pest Management plan.

Handle, mix, and apply approved pesticides in a manner that is compliant with ALL rules and regulations.

Identify and resolve potential threats to crop yields, using proven pest scouting techniques.

Ensure that the cannabis plant's growth requirements, such as lighting, soil PH, and nutrients, are consistently met.

Report the inventory of the facilities cannabis production, such as tools, materials, equipment, and systems.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for all cultivation activities and inventory.

Ensure equipment is operating efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.

Ensure the production facility complies with ALL state cannabis policies and cultivation procedures.

Duties include placing, trellising, weaving, super cropping and or topping, defoliating and harvesting plants.

Ensure feeds are executed, optimized, and adjusted depending on strain-specific requirements and needs using an automated drip system.

Responsible for maintaining the cultivation areas and cleanliness of the facility.

Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and implement effective solutions, including working outside of normal scheduled hours when necessary.

Responsibilities may evolve to align with the dynamic needs of the facility, offering opportunities for growth and adaptability.
Skills and Qualifications:
Be 18 or older, a US Citizen, and willing to commute to Connecticut for this career opportunityHigh school diploma or equivalentExperience working at, and managing, a large legal cannabis cultivation facility.

Experience working with Argus, Priva or similar software.

A minimum of two or more years experience in a management position.

Excellent knowledge of indoor and LED cultivation methods.

Knowledge of growing facility HVAC, Equipment, Layout/Design and familiarity with lighting technologies and light optimization.

Experience managing water usage and automated irrigation control as well as knowledge of basic plumbing and water storage.

Demonstrates competency with technology; Must be able to use computers/smartphones, and applications like Google Docs, Excel, etc.

Strong communication skills coupled with a positive, professional attitudeStrong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating proceduresAbility to lift up to 50 Pounds consistently, and must be able to bend, squat, reach, kneel, walk, etc.

Ability to meet and maintain all applicable state-mandated licensing requirements as a condition of employmentAbility to pass a Federal Background Check with no felony convictions

Passion for the cannabis industry and commitment to producing high-quality productsA solution-driven attitude, good analytical skills, and great attention-to-detail.

Familiarity with state and federal cannabis laws and a willingness to spend time researching regulations and building expertise.

A willingness to stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in cannabis cultivation.

Familiarity with the financial aspects of the cannabis industry, and ability to provide input on purchasing and profitability matters.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to be the one doing the work, not just directing others. 1-2 years of indoor cultivation or comparable experience is highly preferredFamiliarity with harvesting and post-harvest activities like Drying, Curing, Trimming, Packaging, etc.

Cleanliness, GMP familiarity
