Yantis ISD is located approximately 80 miles East of Dallas in northwestern Wood County and epasses approximately 74 square miles. Most of Yantis ISD is located in Wood County, with small portion in Hopkins County. YISD serves students in the City of Yantis, surrounding rural properties, and portions of the District boarders the world famous Lake Fork Reservoir. Located in the District is the Links at Land's End golf course. The City of Yantis is centrally located and is approximately 1½ hours from DFW Metroplex, Tyler, and Long. Current enrollment is approximately 310 students housed between the Imogene Glenn Elementary School (PK-5) and Yantis MS/HS (6-12).

Description/Notes:

Primary Purpose:

Direct and manage the district's curriculum and instruction department. Ensure that the development and delivery of curriculum and the instructional program is effective and efficient, incorporates district goals, and supports student achievement. Coordinate the district state/federal/special programs. Collaborate with district staff and outside personnel to formulate, develop, implement, and evaluate state/federal/special programs.

Prefer Master's degree in education administration

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Knowledge of State and Federal Programs Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Strongmunication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

Preference given to applicants with campus or central office experience Three years' experience as a classroom teacher

Salary Range:
