Custodian

Job Summary Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Facility Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the interior and exterior areas of the plant facility. This includes but is not limited to cleaning and sanitizing common areas such as offices, lunchrooms, and washrooms, tidying and organizing the warehouse and production areas, and ensuring cleaning equipment and tools are stored and maintained properly. Responsibilities Clean, sanitize, and maintain common areas such as offices, lunchrooms, and washrooms. Maintain the front reception area and boardrooms to ensure the cleanliness for all internal and external team members. Work closely with production, warehouse, and maintenance teams to maintain the cleanliness of work areas. Maintain and upkeep the interior and exterior areas of the facility. Collect and dispose of trash and recycling from all bins. Replenish supplies, including but not limited to PPE, soap dispensers, sanitizers, towels, and more. Sweep, mop, and/or vacuum floors to keep all floor areas clean and free of debris. Dust furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces. Sanitize toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenish bathroom supplies like soap and paper towels. Wash windows and glass surfaces as required. Maintain cleaning tools and equipment in good working condition. Notify management of any repairs or maintenance needed in the facility. Maintain the cleanliness of the parking lot and exterior areas as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

This is a Monday to Friday schedule with hours aligned to the core working hours of the business. Overtime, weekends and statutory holiday work may be required. Will be exposed to varying temperatures including but not limited to working inside and outside work environments. May be required to lift 30+ lbs on a frequent basis. Will be required to wear PPE when working in various work areas.

Knowledge & Skill:

Basic reading, writing and math comprehension skills required. Team oriented and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. High attention to detail and meticulous. Adaptable, resourceful and a willingness to learn.

Pay:

$18.00 per hour
