Custodian - Little General

Duties Perform thorough cleaning of retail spaces, including floors, windows, restrooms, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment and supplies. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and sanitizing surfaces to uphold cleanliness standards. Execute floor care procedures including buffing, polishing, stripping, and waxing to maintain a professional appearance. Assist with custodial maintenance tasks like minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management for prompt resolution. Support facilities maintenance activities such as painting touch-ups in residential or commercial spaces and ensuring the overall upkeep of the premises. Maintain cleanliness of industrial cleaning areas and ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized efficiently. Follow safety protocols during all custodial activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is preferred. Experience with floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing is advantageous. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and safety procedures related to custodial work. Background in residential painting or facilities maintenance is a plus. Familiarity with industrial cleaning processes and porter responsibilities can enhance your effectiveness in this role. Demonstrated ability to perform routine maintenance tasks with attention to detail and safety compliance.

Pay:

$15.50 - $16.50 per hour
