07/01/2022 SUMMARY Keeps schools, gyms, offices, and work areas in clean, safe, and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following. Other duties may be assigned. •Indicates the non-essential duties and responsibilities. Nothing in this job description restricts St. Labre's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time. Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes, and vacuums hallways, stairs and office space. Empties trash and garbage containers. Dusts, washes, and sanitizes cabinets, desks, etc.; dusts all shelves. Fills paper towel and toilet paper dispensers. Keeps all walls clean including bathroom stalls and mirrors; washes all doors, both inside and outside and keeps inside entrance ways clean. Washes and disinfects all toilet bowls, sinks, and water fountains. Keeps all areas around light fixtures clean. Keeps all custodial rooms neat and clean. Keeps paper supplies, garbage supplies, and cleaning solutions locked at all times. Notifies supervisor concerning need for repairs or problems.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; and one to six months related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one situations and with other employees. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Respects the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ in private, personal, and public life. Commitment to the mission of the Roman Catholic Church in Native American education. Sensitivity to, and appreciation of Native American people and their cultures. Ability to serve as an appropriate role model for students.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to wear or carry a 10.5 pound Backpack vacuum cleaner with attachments to perform floor duties. This position has no special vision requirements other than normal corrected vision.
