Custodian/Janitor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Custodian/Janitor to join our team. Cleaning would take place Monday-Friday afternoons from approximately 3-5pm. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, experience in commercial or industrial cleaning or willing to learn, and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety. Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal to ensure cleanliness throughout the facility Conduct detailed cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas in accordance with health and safety standards Operate cleaning equipment such as a vacuum efficiently and safely Support facilities maintenance by monitoring supplies inventory and requesting replenishments as necessary Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries Ensure compliance with environmental health regulations by using appropriate cleaning agents and disposal methods Qualifications Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings Knowledge of cleaning techniques Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality standards Good physical stamina for lifting, bending, standing for extended periods, and performing manual tasks Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues promptly If you are committed to maintaining clean and safe environments through diligent custodial work and possess relevant experience in commercial or industrial cleaning, we encourage you to apply.
