DESCRIPTION CUSTODIAN/MAINTENANCE/VAN OPERATOR

Hours - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday and Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with one hour overtime. (When school is in session). Driving duties - three days per week, 4 hours per day and other required driving as needed. Maintain vehicle records for 15-passenger vans - check fluids, tires, etc. weekly, ensure vehicle oil changes, brakes, inspections sheets are up to date, maintain and review driver's daily pre-trip logs and oversee annual CHP inspections. Minor plumbing and maintenance repairs - which includes accessing roof for air conditioners, water cooler and minor roof repairs/cleaning Janitorial responsibilities - all floor surfaces, trash cans, restrooms, dusting, etc. Daily monitoring of restrooms cleanliness Landscaping/Grounds Maintenance/Basic Automatic Sprinkler Operation & Repairs. It is the custodian's responsibility to secure the school by making sure the facility is locked. On school days, this responsibility must be addressed at 2:00 pm and at 5:00 pm. The custodian is responsible for all thermostats in the building to be turned off at the end of the day. Classrooms, dining area, hallways etc. should be turned off at 2:00 pm. The Lighthouse custodian will be responsible for ensuring the South van gate always remains closed during the day and outside grounds are free of trash and debris. Other General Duties - monthly commodity pick up and distribution, fill coke machine, maintain janitorial supplies, repair canes periodically, set watches/replace batteries for talking watches, set up meeting rooms as needed, general assistance as needed in kitchen and dining room, and any other duties as requested by the Executive Director and/or administration staff.

Qualifications:

Must possess a Class B or Commercial Class C California driver license with a passenger endorsement - •or able to obtain within 90 days of hire at the discretion of the Executive Director. Hourly Pay Scale $18.00 to $25.00 INLAND
