Customer Care Associate

Customer Care Associate Youngwood, PA 15697 $12.50 an hour - Part-time $12.50 an hour - Part-time Assist customers in person and over the phone with questions related to adoptions and admissions, volunteering opportunities, hours and in-kind donations. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to transfer callers and emails to the appropriate team members, and will be skilled with excellent communication and organization skills. Must have the ability to enforce policies and procedures while demonstrating and upholding excellence in customer service and customer relations. The right candidate will uphold the mission of Heal Animal Rescue throughout all responsibilities of the position. A professional, courteous and patient team member that demonstrates empathy and compassion while withholding judgment is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to bend, stand, stoop, walk, sit, talk, listen, hear; use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The role routinely requires handling of animals in varying degrees of behavior and requires keen observational skills, as well as dexterity with both cats and dogs.

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES/QUALIFICATIONS

Greet & direct visitors Answer phone calls, check voicemail Answer questions in person and over the phone Respond to emails Track in-kind donations Distribute volunteer and adoption applications Sell merchandise Restock items, and organize items and inventory Maintain positive relationships with team and customers. Become familiar with all animals in the shelter so that accurate information regarding the animals (including but not limited to: history, behavior concerns, health issues, etc.) can be accurately passed on to potential new owners. Work cooperatively with all employees Ensure all public areas are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and comfortable manner reporting issues to the manager immediately. Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor. Passion for animals and animal welfare. The ability to make rational decisions and be professional in an emotional environment/situation. Must have reliable transportation. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent customer service skills.
