Customer Service Representative I

Job description Description South Ottumwa Savings Bank has an opening for a Customer Service Representative at our Hedrick Bank Office. Our Customer Service Representatives are responsible for performing accurate and courteous handling of customer account transactions, including but not limited to processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, funds transfers, check cashing, change orders and processing night deposits; assisting customers with questions and issues; making referrals of current and prospective customers to other departments for additional products and services; balancing a cash drawer and vault; loading ATM's; providing periodic coverage at other Bank locations; and ensuring compliance with applicable Bank regulations and procedures in the process of transacting business while striving to provide friendly, efficient, and professional customer service at all times. This is a full time, non-exempt from overtime position with a daytime schedule of approx. 35-40 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday in Hedrick and approx. 2 scheduled Saturday mornings per month in alternate branch locations. Requirements Must be able to work a full time Monday-Friday schedule in Hedrick and approx. 2 Saturday mornings per month in Ottumwa. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass a background screening including a credit and criminal check. Requires previous cash handling and customer service experience. Excellent communication, general math and problem solving skills as well as computer aptitude and ability to read cursive writing are required. Previous banking experience is a plus. Must have a current driver's license and reliable transportation with the ability to drive other locations for orientation, training, meetings, and coverage on scheduled Saturday mornings and other occasions, as needed. Requires close visual acuity and ability to adjust focus, use of hands and fingers, speaking, hearing, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
