Job Description

Customer Support Engineer (AMTA) Apply now Job no: 512113 Work type: Full Time -
Permanent Location:
Arizona, USA -
Various Locations, New York Categories:
Commercial If you are passionate about high‑performance engineering and want to work on some of the most advanced road cars ever built, this role places you at the heart of Aston Martin's hypercar programme. Aftersales plays a critical role in the overall customer experience and, with the introduction of hypercars such as the Aston Martin Valkyrie, we have created a unique direct‑to‑customer support model. This means working not only in workshops, but alongside customers at Aston Martin locations, customer sites and third‑party facilities, supporting vehicles across the globe. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing and diagnosing customer vehicles to the very highest standards. You will prepare vehicles for track use, support customer drive and track events, and carry out shake‑down and post‑repair performance testing to ensure every car performs exactly as intended. You will also play a key part in customer handovers, delivering detailed technical briefings and helping to create a truly exceptional ownership experience. On a day‑to‑day basis, you will carry out complex fault diagnosis and rectification, often at customer locations, while recording issues and feeding potential solutions back to Engineering. Your work will include vehicle builds, strip and inspection activities, tolerance measurement, component fabrication and vehicle set‑up. You will also support high‑voltage and hydraulic system assembly and operation, with training provided, giving you exposure to some of the most cutting‑edge automotive technologies available. This role goes beyond technical delivery. You will lead small teams while on customer sites, liaise with system and development engineers, third‑party suppliers, dealers and customer representatives, and act as a trusted technical ambassador for the brand. You will need the confidence and professionalism to work directly with high‑net‑worth customers, sometimes in challenging situations, while maintaining a calm, customer‑first approach at all times. You will thrive in this role if you bring development or motorsport experience, enjoy hands‑on problem solving, and take pride in the quality of your workmanship. You will be comfortable working across functional teams, applying engineering fundamentals to investigate failures, and documenting your work thoroughly and accurately. A background in automotive or motorsport engineering is essential, supported by strong hands‑on experience and an advanced driving permit, although equivalent experience will also be considered. Additional training such as high‑voltage safety, F‑Gas or specialist systems knowledge is advantageous but can be developed as part of the role. Above all, we are looking for someone with a positive, can‑do attitude, strong teamwork skills and pride in representing a world‑class brand. If you are looking for variety, responsibility, global exposure and the opportunity to work at the pinnacle of performance engineering, while making a meaningful impact on the customer experience, this role offers a rare and rewarding opportunity.
