Call Center Supervisor

Job Description

Company Overview Retina Associates, LLC is a sub-specialty ophthalmology practice currently seeking a Supervisor for our call center. This position is based out of our Lenexa office. Monday-Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Summary We are seeking a Call Center Supervisor to join our team at Retina Associates, LLC. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our call center, ensuring that our patients receive outstanding service and support. Your leadership will be vital in maintaining effective communication and enhancing patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Actively work in the Call Center and provide supervision and ongoing support for the Call Center department. Provide training for new employees and ongoing training for existing employees. Develop policies and procedures under the guidance of the PSR Manager. Communicate and cooperate with all departments in a professional manner. Work with the leadership team on new technology and processes and act as the point of contact for call center team for implementation and process changes. Communicate issues with referring offices or clinics to the PSR Manager. Actively work to provide process improvement ideas to cultivate efficiencies. Resolves patient complaints and interpersonal employee conflicts under the guidance of the PSR Manager. Participates in the recruiting process for call center personnel. Perform all job functions related to the Call Center and all other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, scheduling patient appointments; demonstrating accuracy, thoroughness, and an understanding of multi-line telephone procedures; obtaining patient information by interviewing patients and verifying information for appointment scheduling and clinical messages; obtaining referring physician information by answering telephone calls; interviewing referring office for screening emergent and non-emergent patients to be added to the clinic schedule; and route medical inquiry calls to the appropriate clinical staff member. Maintain a professional and courteous attitude. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Excellent communication and customer service skills. Demonstrates a high level of professionalism. Demonstrates critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work and manage a team environment. Ability to multi-task and solve problems as they arise. High school diploma or equivalent is necessary, post-secondary education preferred. Experience in a medical office setting, operating a multi-phone system, and computer experience preferred. Minimum 1-year leadership and supervisory experience required.
