Call Center Branch Manager - Main Office Texas Bay Credit Union - 3.2 Houston, TX Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Confidential information handling Productivity software Full Job Description Location 12611 Fuqua Street Houston, TX 77034 Primary Job Function In order to help Texas Bay Credit Union (TBCU) stand out as a leading financial institution, the Branch Manager is responsible for leading and motivating branch staff to achieve branch growth and overall strategic goals. This includes fostering a positive work environment, ensuring effective team collaboration, and implementing initiatives that align with TBCU's vision and mission. The Branch Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the branch's success and enhancing its reputation within the financial industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Manage and supervise employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include hires, terminations, promotions, time off requests, scheduling, transfers, performance appraisals, conducting meetings, and training, approving time records, and development and coaching of staff. Direct and administer the daily sales and operations of the branch. Support and contribute to the development and execution of sales and service programs. Responsible for obtaining, maintaining and reviewing department production reports with staff. Oversee cash management and security control functions in the teller area. Supervise the maintenance and service of the ITM (Interactive Teller Machine). Ensure compliance with the TBCU Security Policy. Oversee proper completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR). Ensure ongoing compliance with applicable laws and regulations for the branch office. Handle complex transactions and address sensitive member relation problems as needed. Conduct appropriate analysis to determine creditworthiness within established lending authority guidelines or submit loans to loan officers for approval. Process and close consumer and home equity loans. Maintain extensive knowledge of all credit union services and products to effectively respond to member inquiries. Achieve the Branch Scorecard goals. Other Duties and Responsibilities Assist in preparing annual budget requests for the branch office. Assist with the branch's marketing and business development plan. Play an active part in helping credit union teams function smoothly and efficiently. Stay alert to potential problems and propose changes to policies and programs. Back up all branch employees as needed. Perform other duties as assigned or needed. As an employee of a "Essential Business" (as defined by Texas's Executive Order GA 14), employees are expected to continue to report to work as scheduled during state issued emergency declarations. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations. Required Knowledge A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through and apprenticeship program Three years to five years of similar or related experience, credit union preferred Completion of required training courses Proficient in MS Office and computer skills Required Abilities Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Analytical, problem resolution, and decision-making skills Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills Must be self-motivated and a quick learner Must be able to multi task and work well in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and accurately prioritize workload with minimal supervision Excellent member service skills Demonstrate all Texas Bay Core Values Demonstrate the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion Must be able to work in a deadline driven environment and analyze complex transactions Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, kneel, talk, hear, and climb stairs. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move 10-15 pounds. This position requires viewing of computer monitor for extended lengths of time and travel to and from all credit union offices.
