Job Description

Complex Steel Buildings is looking for a highly organized, motivated, and experienced individual to join our growing team as a full-time Planning & Permitting Coordinator. This position plays a critical role in managing the planning department workflow and acting as the main liaison between our company, the customer, and the engineer throughout the planning and permitting process. We are looking for someone who has experience handling engineered plans, permitting processes, customer communication, and project coordination from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers daily regarding plan updates and project progress Coordinate directly with engineers to ensure plans are completed accurately and efficiently Act as the main liaison between the customer, engineer, and internal departments Review plans and assist in making sure all requested revisions are completed properly Help manage planning department workflow and priorities Track timelines, revisions, approvals, and submissions Assist customers with permitting questions and guidance Work closely with scheduling, sales, and operations departments Maintain organization of planning files, permits, and customer communication Provide excellent customer service and professional communication at all times
Qualifications:
Experience handling engineered plans and permitting processes required Strong understanding of construction, steel buildings, or similar industry preferred Experience communicating with engineers, city departments, and customers Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to problem solve and work in a fast-paced environment Professional communication and customer service skills Detail-oriented and dependable Ability to manage multiple projects at once
Position Details:
Full-time position 40 hours per week Long-term growth opportunity Fast-paced and team-oriented environment
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge of permitting processes and city requirements Experience with engineered drawings and revisions Construction office or project coordination experience Customer service and administrative experience
Pay:
$23.00 - $28.00 per hour
