  • The Role
  • As Manager, Business Intelligence in the Customer Office organization, you will lead the design and development of advanced PowerBI dashboards and drive analysis to help Customer Success leadership to make critical decisions and run the business.
The tools that you and your team develop will drive insights to power customer retention, expansion, and success strategies. This role requires proven experience of partnering with senior business stakeholders, ability to drive several initiatives in parallel, and a highly iterative approach to developing tools that rapidly create value for end users. Expect to be very hands-on and also lead a small, high-performing team of BI analysts (currently two resources in a different time zone) providing technical direction, mentorship, and day-to-day prioritization. Deep PowerBI knowledge is required. Familiarity with and passion for applying other BI and data analytics techniques are encouraged, but proven Power BI experience is a must.   • Key Responsibilities
  • BI Dashboard Development & Reporting
  • + Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI (required), ensuring alignment with business needs and analytical requirements.
+ Create repeatable templates and design patterns to accelerate the development of additional dashboards, dimensions, and data views. + Develop visualization tools that bring together financial, sales, customer activity, and operational metrics. + Create documentation and facilitate training to enable end-users to self-serve with newly developed tools.
  • Data Engineering, Manipulation & Analysis
  • + Extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from various sources using Power Query, PowerPivot, DAX, Macros, VBA), SQL + Partner with central Data Engineering team to automate data pipelines to ensure accuracy and scalability.
+ Partner with data teams to source, clean, and integrate data from CRM, Finance, Customer Success platforms, and data warehouses. + Ensure data consistency and integrity across multiple reporting systems and dashboards.
  • Advanced Business Intelligence & Automation
  • + Continuously build expertise in the latest Power BI capabilities and techniques, evaluating new features for opportunities to improve dashboard performance, design, and depth of analysis.
+ Learn and leverage BI and analytics capabilities within adjacent platforms (e.g., Snowflake) to complement, extend and potentially replace Power BI solutions. + Explore and apply AI/LLM technologies to surface BI analysis and visualizations in "headless" mode directly within AI assistants and the workflow systems where the business already works. + Enhance self-service capabilities by helping end-users to use AI to extract insights directly from dashboards without requiring deep PowerBI expertise.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship
  • + Lead, mentor, and develop a team of BI analysts across time zones, providing day-to-day guidance, technical direction, and prioritization support.
+ Architect and review dashboard and analytical solutions developed by the team, ensuring quality, scalability, and alignment with business needs. + Manage and triage a portfolio of analytics requests and initiatives in parallel, driving progress and communicating status clearly to stakeholders. + Foster a culture of continuous improvement, best practices, and innovation in BI development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Insights Development
  • + Partner closely with Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Operations teams to understand requirements and deliver data-driven insights that drive customer retention, expansion, and satisfaction.
+ Present findings and recommendations to VP+ leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights. + Support ad-hoc analysis requests and deep dives into customer performance, risk factors, and upsell opportunities.
  • Qualifications & Skills
  • Required
  • + 8+ years of experience in business intelligence and data visualization, preferably in a SaaS.
+ Strong business acumen with an understanding of SaaS business models and customer success metrics. + Deep expertise in Power BI is required to apply; other BI and advanced analytics experience is a plus. + Extensive experience with Excel, including PivotTables, Power Query, DAX, Macros, and VBA. + Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets (at minimum, sufficient to support Power BI dashboard development). + Familiarity with Salesforce data model and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift). + Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira) and version control tools (e.g., Git) + Proven track record of driving analytics and BI initiatives end to end, from requirements through delivery. + Proven ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand, scope, and translate requirements into actionable BI solutions. + Demonstrated ability to triage and drive progress across multiple initiatives in parallel. + Comfort with ambiguity and ability to iterate quickly and enhance designs over time. + Experience presenting findings and recommendations to VP+ audiences.
