Job Summary:
The Transportation/Service Manager is responsible for directing all of the service deliveries, operations and ensure processes are completed in a timely manner and with the highest quality standards. The Service Manager must be prepared to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced environment while leading their team to success. The Service Manager is expected to represent Medico with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Job Description:
Oversee a workforce of 30+ employees in service department Successfully resolves customer related issues Training a team on effective sales and delivery techniques Responsible for establishing and monitoring a proper departmental workflow that enhances speed and efficiency without compromising safety or integrity while conforming to assigned objectives, plans, schedules, and budget Adhere to safety standards at all times while enforcing safe work habits with all production employees; this includes OSHA regulations and facility safety guidelines Attend scheduled staff meetings, daily internal production meetings, and trainings as required Communicate with Team Leaders and Asst. Service Manager about rules, regulations, policies, and company objectives Implement safety measures for accident prevention performance through monthly departmental safety meetings and ensure with Team Leaders and Asst. Service Manager employee safety compliance Ensure all service employees comply with required PPE standards as required as well as all safety policies Oversee employee hiring, training, development, and management, providing guidance to Team Leaders and Assistant Service Manager Complete and maintain all required record keeping, data, and paperwork as needed such as
DOT, OSHA
300, employee injuries, disciplinary notices, performance reviews, and weekly attendance reports for payroll processing Apply disciplinary actions as required, always adhering to CBA and company policy. This will include tracking and logging attendance for all service delivery employees. Any disciplinary actions should include the participation of the HR representative of the production plant. Investigate and respond to all employee complaints or concerns Comply with all company policies and procedures Must maintain regular and punctual attendance Perform other related duties as assigned
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred)
Skills:
3-5 years of management experience 2 years' experience leading a team in a customer service and delivery environment Strong leadership and team-building skills Computer software skills Ability to coach and mentor employees Able to read, write, and speak English fluently Industrial laundry and union experience preferred, Spanish fluency preferred
Physical:
Repetitive motions limited to repeated bending, stretching, twisting, reaching and pushing/pulling Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, carry up to 50 lbs, and move up to 50 lbs. Exposure to reasonable noise level, changes in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dust Must be able to wear Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.
