L OCATION
Newington, CT In person role, Monday-Friday; 8:30 am - 5 pm SUMMARY Act as liaison between manufacturing, purchasing, scheduling, and the customer or account manager. Initiate customer jobs into the production cycle and expedite answers for the customer, account executive and manufacturing.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide daily contact with press planning, clients, vendors, sales, account teams and bindery to ensure excellent communication and timely coordinating on all aspects of print services production from start to finish. Maintain an up-to-date status report. Update and Monitor Prepress Priority Que daily Monitor the PS Dashboard throughout the workday for new Comp Specs and/or Change Requests Responsible for the production of prepress tickets, proof sheets, job tickets, and job layouts. Responsible for checking the accuracy of proofs going to client and/or press. Arrange for the delivery of proofs to customers. Performing copy checks and rule ups at start of each job on press. Perform press checks onsite/offsite, when applicable. Inform the pressroom of any special manufacturing requirements (die-cuts, special inks) Revise the job ticket to reflect change(s), as required. Inform production, as well as the department manager, purchasing manager and scheduling where the job is currently located. Ascertain whether special order items are in house or have been ordered. Troubleshoot jobs when necessary. Submit job closeouts to billing once job is completed. Comply with company rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of company-sensitive data. Implement a commitment to quality philosophy and recommend methods and procedures to reduce cost and/or improve operating efficiency of the department. Keep manager/supervisor informed of activities and situations that will impact the achievement of corporate or department goals and objectives. Perform other related duties, as required, to achieve the goals and objectives of the department and company.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Experience in a Print Production environment preferredCOMPETENCIES
Knowledge of computers, keyboarding and Microsoft Office Organized and detail oriented, committed to quality Must be able to problem solve, multi-task and work well under tight deadlines Must be self motivated and a team player Excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic math skillsSimilar remote jobs
