Job Description

PURPOSE This position is responsible for supporting the Property Manager in maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, safety, and daily operations of the Sunshine Self Storage facility. The Assistant Manager performs routine light maintenance and janitorial duties while also assisting with customer service, leasing, collections, and administrative tasks to ensure a clean, well-maintained, and customer-friendly environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES A.
Facility Maintenance and Appearance Perform routine janitorial duties including cleaning office, restrooms, hallways, elevators, and common areas. Conduct regular property inspections and report maintenance concerns to the Property Manager. Perform light maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, replacing locks, painting touch-ups, minor repairs, and basic troubleshooting of facility equipment. Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of storage units, grounds, parking areas, landscaping, and trash collection areas. Assist with unit preparation, lock removal, overlock placement, and other operational tasks as assigned. Ensure company safety standards are followed and report any hazards or unsafe conditions. B. Customer Service and Office Operations Assist customers in person, by phone, and electronically with rentals, payments, account inquiries, and general questions. Process rental agreements, customer payments, and required documentation accurately. Conduct collection calls and assist with delinquent account follow-up procedures. Maintain accurate customer records and complete administrative tasks using company software systems. Assist with sales activities, lead follow-up, and promoting available units and services. Support the Property Manager in achieving occupancy, revenue, and customer service goals. C. General Operations Open and close the office as scheduled. Monitor facility security systems, gates, and cameras. Participate in property audits, inventory counts, and operational inspections. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the Property Manager. Contribute to maintaining a professional, clean, and welcoming facility for customers and visitors.
Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
