Full-Time We are seeking an experienced Customer Service & Technical Support Manager for an automotive transmission/remanufacturing operation in Plant City, FL. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing customer service and core return operations while also serving as a senior technical resource for customers and automotive technicians. The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership and customer service skills with a solid automotive mechanical background, particularly in transmission diagnostics, installation, and troubleshooting . This is not strictly a customer service management position. Candidates must be comfortable discussing technical automotive issues and assisting technicians with diagnosing problems related to CVT installation, operation, and performance. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day customer service and core return operations Lead, support, and develop customer service team members Ensure customers receive accurate and timely information regarding orders, shipments, unit availability, billing, and core returns Handle escalated customer concerns and work toward appropriate resolutions Serve as a senior technical resource for customers and automotive technicians Assist technicians in the field with CVT installation and diagnostic troubleshooting Help identify potential installation, programming, mechanical, or diagnostic issues Communicate technical information clearly to customers and technicians Work closely with production and other internal departments to research and resolve technical concerns Oversee core return processes, inspections, credits, and related customer issues Monitor customer concerns and recurring technical issues to identify trends Maintain high standards for customer communication, follow-up, and overall service Ensure customer service and core return procedures are followed consistently Help improve processes and communication between customers, technicians, customer service, core returns, and production Qualifications Strong automotive technical or mechanical background required Experience with automotive transmissions, CVTs, drivetrain systems, diagnostics, or transmission repair strongly preferred Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with automotive technicians by phone Previous customer service leadership, technical support management, service management, or similar supervisory experience Strong understanding of automotive diagnostic and repair processes Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Strong leadership and team-management abilities Professional communication skills with the ability to work with customers, technicians, and internal departments Comfortable handling escalated or difficult customer situations Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage both customer service operations and technical issues in a fast-paced environment Compensation $80,000-$100,000 per year , depending on experience and qualifications.
