Duties Act as the primary point of contact for dispatching road transportation services, ensuring timely and accurate vehicle deployment using vehicle dispatch software and transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management and SyteLine. Communicate effectively with drivers, carriers, customers, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems and internal communication channels to coordinate freight pickup, delivery schedules, and routing adjustments. Monitor GPS and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and support transportation planning efforts aligned with DOT regulations. Manage shipping & receiving documentation, data entry, and freight tracking to maintain precise records of shipments, vehicle movements, and delivery statuses. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries promptly, resolving issues related to logistics or freight, and maintaining professional phone etiquette in both English and Spanish. Support supply chain operations by analyzing transportation data, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, and assisting with fleet management tasks. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards while coordinating road transportation operations in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications Fluency in both English and Spanish is required; excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential. Proven experience with transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination within a supply chain environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) along with experience using transportation management systems such as Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms. Knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, vehicle dispatch software, and fleet management practices. Familiarity with DOT regulations related to road transportation operations is highly desirable. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong analysis skills for evaluating transportation data to improve routing efficiency and service quality. Ability to manage phone calls professionally using multi-line phone systems; excellent phone etiquette is a must. Experience in shipping & receiving processes, freight handling, or 3PL (third-party logistics) providers is preferred.
