This is a full-time exempt role, with a pay range of $60,000 to $100,000 per year (salary + commission).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Service Manager in directing and coordinating daily automotive service department operations, workflow, and technician scheduling. Supervise, guide, and support service advisors, technicians, and support staff to maintain productivity and service quality. Greet customers, address service inquiries, explain service recommendations and estimates, and resolve customer issues to ensure high customer satisfaction. Review and audit repair orders, warranty claims, and service logs for accuracy, policy compliance, and proper billing. Monitor and drive department KPIs, customer satisfaction index (CSI) scores, and repair turnaround times. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, environmental guidelines, and dealership policies. Assist in managing service equipment maintenance, shop organization, and parts/inventory coordination. Assume full leadership of service department operations in the absence of the Service Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree or technical certification in Automotive Technology or Business Management preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in automotive service operations, service advising, or dealership management. Strong technical understanding of automotive repair, maintenance procedures, and dealership management systems (DMS). Demonstrated leadership, team-building, decision-making, and customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong conflict-resolution capabilities. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to work full-time hours including occasional weekend shifts as needed by dealership operations.
