Job Description

CMIT Solutions is seeking a relationship-driven Part-Time Client Success & Strategy Manager to manage and strengthen relationships with an assigned group of clients. This position serves as a primary business relationship contact for assigned clients and works closely with CMIT's leadership, service, and technical teams to ensure clients receive exceptional value from their partnership with CMIT. The Client Success & Strategy Manager will learn each client's business, understand their goals and challenges, coordinate Technology Business Reviews, help develop technology roadmaps, improve client satisfaction and retention, and identify opportunities where CMIT can provide additional value. Part-Time — approximately 20-25 hours per week, could work into a Full-Time position. The position will require flexibility to accommodate scheduled client meetings, Technology Business Reviews, internal meetings, and occasional networking or client events.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management Serve as the primary business relationship contact for assigned clients. Develop strong relationships with business owners, executives, managers, and key decision-makers. Maintain proactive and consistent communication with clients. Learn each client's business, goals, challenges, growth plans, and technology priorities. Monitor client satisfaction and identify concerns before they become larger problems. Advocate for clients internally and coordinate with CMIT team members when issues require additional attention. Ensure client commitments and follow-up items are completed. Technology Business Reviews Schedule, prepare for, and conduct Technology Business Reviews with assigned clients. Review technology performance, cybersecurity, upcoming needs, projects, budgeting considerations, and strategic priorities. Work with CMIT's technical team to develop technology roadmaps and recommendations. Translate technical recommendations into clear business terms. Help clients prioritize technology investments based on business needs, risk, and budget. Document decisions, recommendations, opportunities, and follow-up items. Client Retention Maintain strong relationships designed to maximize client satisfaction and retention. Identify clients who may be dissatisfied or at risk and communicate concerns promptly to CMIT leadership. Develop action plans to address client concerns. Assist with service agreement renewals and contract discussions. Reinforce CMIT's value as a trusted technology partner. Ensure clients understand the services, protections, and resources included in their relationship with CMIT. Account Growth Identify opportunities to provide additional value to existing clients. Recognize needs related to cybersecurity, cloud solutions, compliance, managed services, hardware, software, consulting, projects, and other technology services. Coordinate with technical resources to develop appropriate solutions and proposals. Present recommendations and proposals to clients in clear business language. Follow up on outstanding proposals and recommendations. Help clients plan and budget for future technology investments. Identify opportunities created by client growth, new employees, additional locations, changing regulatory requirements, or evolving technology needs. Internal Coordination Work closely with CMIT leadership, Service Delivery, engineering, and technical teams. Communicate client expectations, concerns, priorities, and upcoming changes internally. Participate in periodic internal account-review meetings. Coordinate technical resources when assessments, recommendations, projects, or escalations are required. Help ensure alignment between what clients expect and what CMIT delivers. Documentation & Follow-Up Maintain accurate client contacts, meeting notes, activities, opportunities, and follow-up tasks in Autotask. Document Technology Business Reviews and action items. Maintain current account plans and technology roadmap information. Consistently follow up on client commitments, recommendations, proposals, and outstanding decisions. Ensure important client requests and opportunities do not fall through the cracks. Performance Expectations Success in this position will be measured by: Client retention Client satisfaction Completion of scheduled Technology Business Reviews Quality and consistency of client communication Growth within existing client accounts Recurring revenue growth from assigned accounts Account renewal success Identification and conversion of account-growth opportunities Timely completion of client follow-up Accurate documentation in Autotask Reduction of preventable client escalations Because this is a part-time position, performance will be based primarily on results, client coverage, and completion of responsibilities rather than hours worked. Qualifications 4+ years of experience in account management, customer success, relationship management, consultative sales, or another client-facing role. Experience with managed IT services, technology, cybersecurity, telecom, SaaS, professional services, or other B2B services strongly preferred. Ability to develop trusted relationships with business owners and executives. Strong communication, presentation, listening, and relationship-building skills. Ability to communicate technology recommendations in practical business terms. Strong organization, follow-through, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple client relationships and priorities. Comfortable working independently while collaborating with technical and operational teams. Experience using CRM or professional-services software; Autotask experience is preferred. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local client meetings. The schedule may include a combination of: Time in the CMIT office Client-site meetings Technology Business Reviews Remote administrative and follow-up work Internal team meetings Occasional client or community events Some flexibility in scheduling will be required based on client availability and business needs.
