This is a leadership opportunity for someone who understands that running a successful service department is about more than managing numbers. We are looking for a leader who can develop technicians, build accountability, strengthen culture, improve performance, and create an exceptional experience for both employees and customers. The ideal candidate has a strong residential HVAC background, understands service department KPIs, and is comfortable coaching technicians in technical performance, communication, customer service, and revenue-producing opportunities. You will:
Lead, coach, and support residential HVAC service technicians. Drive department performance toward established revenue and operational goals. Conduct consistent one-on-one meetings with technicians. Provide field and technical support when technicians need assistance. Coach technicians on communication, customer experience, technical skills, and service performance. Ensure company policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently followed. Monitor technician and department KPIs and use the data to identify coaching opportunities. Conduct vehicle and operational inspections. Support onboarding and development of new technicians. Identify high-potential employees and mentor them for future leadership opportunities. Partner with other department leaders to improve communication and overall operational performance. Build a culture centered around accountability, development, teamwork, and customer service. How Success Will Be Measured Success in this position will be measured through both business performance and team development , including: Department revenue performance Conversion rate Average ticket Return/callback percentage Opportunity-call performance Technician productivity Employee retention Employee engagement Training participation and development Department culture Technician growth and advancement Customer experience What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of HVAC industry experience Residential HVAC service experience strongly preferred Previous leadership, supervisory, or service management experience preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, diagnostics, parts, and service operations Experience coaching and developing field technicians Understanding of residential service department KPIs Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and listening skills Ability to hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive team culture Comfortable working in a performance-driven service environment Experience with field-service management software preferred Commitment to continued leadership, technical, and professional development The Leader We're Looking For We're looking for someone who can walk into a service department and earn the trust of technicians while still holding a high standard.
