We are seeking a relationship-driven Retention & Cross-Sell Specialist to support and expand our existing customer base through proactive outreach, renewal management, and service expansion opportunities. This role focuses on outbound communication with current customers to identify additional compliance and operational services they qualify for, while also managing renewals for annually recurring services. Unlike traditional cold sales roles, this position centers on building trust, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering long-term account value. The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable navigating compliance-related service conversations with trucking businesses and owner-operators.
Reporting to:
Co-Owner Responsibilities Conduct outbound calls and follow-up communications with existing customers Identify and recommend additional services customers qualify for based on business status and operational needs Cross-sell services including: Drug & alcohol consortium enrollment BOC-3 filings IFTA quarterly reporting Annual compliance renewals Additional recurring compliance and operational services Manage renewal outreach for annually recurring services Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and consultative support Accurately review customer records and determine eligibility for additional services Track customer interactions, renewals, and sales activity within internal systems and CRM platforms Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to ensure smooth service fulfillment Meet or exceed monthly retention, renewal, and cross-sell performance goals Stay current on FMCSA and trucking compliance requirements relevant to customer accounts Provide a high-quality customer experience that encourages long-term retention and recurring revenue Requirements 3-5 years of account management, customer retention, or inside sales experience Strong relationship-building and customer communication skills Detail-oriented with the ability to accurately assess customer qualification for services Comfortable conducting outbound calls and managing ongoing customer follow-up Strong organizational and time management abilities Experience working with CRM systems and customer account tracking tools Ability to explain service offerings clearly and professionally Self-motivated with a customer-first mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience in trucking, logistics, transportation, insurance, or compliance industries strongly preferred Familiarity with FMCSA regulations and recurring carrier compliance requirements Prior experience managing renewals or subscription-based service accounts Experience working with owner-operators and small fleet businesses Background in consultative sales or customer success environments Understanding of recurring revenue and account growth strategies
Pay, Benefits& Tools Base Hourly:
$24.04-$28.85
Commission Structure:
