Service Manager for Lawn Care Department

Position Overview If you have Plant Health Care or Lawn Care application experience, and you are looking to use your acquired knowledge to lead others, this could be the job for you. As a Service Manager you would be responsible for a team of lawn care technicians. The basics of your job is to focus on what we call the 4 M's

• At least 4 years' experience as a lawn and/or tree care technician/specialist or another related field. Requirements Valid driver's license Clean driving record to meet our insurance requirements High school graduate or GED Able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. Do you have or will you be able to acquire a Department of Agriculture
• Operators License (Paid training provided) Applicators License (Paid training provided) Fluent English
• Spanish is a plus Tasks Monitor the performance of your team Mentor to improve your team's performance Motivate your team to improve or stay the course if their doing great Manage your team Occasionally apply applications Train new hires Conducts 90-day performance reviews with each team member Meet with customers to resolve concerns Perform field checkups to ensure our company high standards are being met Ensures work is done on time Ensures work is done properly Ensures work is done efficiently Maintain a safe, clean organized shop Ensures proper maintenance of equipment and trucks Maintain inventory of parts and materials Conduct regular meetings with your team Help team members reach their goals and objectives both professionally and personally Identify problems, make recommendations, and implement solutions Provide clear communication through excellent verbal and written skills Report to the Branch Manager Wintertime is spent on maintenance/repair of equipment, along with technician training Pay Starting pay for an experienced Service Manager is $65,000 annually No management experience.
