Job Description
Customer Service/ Account Manager- manufacturing /distribution industry Key Responsibilities Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to support sales growth and customer satisfaction. Prepare and follow up on product quotations, pricing, and sales opportunities. Process customer orders accurately and ensure timely entry into business systems. Manage customer accounts by maintaining accurate account information, pricing, and documentation. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries regarding products, orders, shipments, returns, and account information. Coordinate with internal departments, including Operations, Production, Logistics, and Finance, to ensure timely order fulfillment and issue resolution. Review purchase orders for accuracy, including pricing, quantities, shipping instructions, and payment terms. Track customer orders from entry through delivery and provide proactive status updates. Assist customers with product information, technical questions, and post-sale support by coordinating with appropriate internal resources. Process product returns, warranty requests, and repair orders while ensuring timely communication throughout the process. Identify opportunities to expand business within existing accounts and support new customer acquisition initiatives. Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, and pipeline information within CRM and ERP systems. Monitor account activity and recommend updates to pricing, account structure, or customer information as appropriate. Support e-commerce adoption and other customer engagement initiatives. Participate in outbound customer outreach, lead generation, and follow-up activities. Contribute to process improvements that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 1+ year of inside sales, customer service, account management, or sales support experience. Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or technical product environment is preferred. Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience using CRM platforms, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Technical aptitude with the ability to learn products and applications quickly. Experience supporting order management, quoting, and customer account administration is preferred. Bilingual language skills are a plus.
