Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Service Department Coordinator/Dispatcher who is responsible for managing and scheduling service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of customer service requests. This role serves as the central communication point between customers, technicians, and internal departments, ensuring high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be detailed oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate and dispatch service technicians based on skill set, location, and availability. Maintain an organized schedule for daily, emergency, and preventive maintenance calls. Serve as the primary point of contact for service inquiries and updates. Provide accurate information regarding service timelines and technician arrival. Handle escalated customer concerns promptly and professionally. Work closely with the Service Manager to resolve scheduling conflicts or urgent issues. Create, update, and close work orders in the company's service management system. Verify job details, parts requirements, and labor hours for accuracy. Ensure technicians have necessary tools, materials, and documentation before dispatch. Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams for parts availability. Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician schedules, and customer interactions. Generate daily/weekly reports on service performance and backlog.
