Job Overview MVM Consulting & Social Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced, highly organized, and compassionate Home Help Operations Coordinator to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for someone who can confidently manage a high-volume workload, balance multiple priorities, maintain strong attention to detail, and consistently follow cases through to completion. The Home Help Operations Coordinator will help oversee the client and caregiver process from initial referral and enrollment through authorization, onboarding, start of care, and ongoing services. The position involves regular communication with clients, caregivers, state caseworkers, insurance plans, healthcare professionals, and MVM's internal team. The ideal candidate is patient, dependable, detail-oriented, proactive, and an excellent problem solver. They should be comfortable working across multiple systems, tracking deadlines and outstanding items, and taking ownership of tasks without requiring constant supervision. As MVM continues to expand, this individual will also have the opportunity to help improve internal processes, participate in new projects, develop more efficient workflows, support the expansion of our services, and eventually assist with training and supporting new team members. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with MVM and become an important part of the continued development of our Home Help operations. Responsibilities Manage client cases from initial referral through enrollment, authorization, start of care, and ongoing services Conduct client intake and collect required information and documentation Verify Medicaid eligibility and applicable insurance coverage Track State of Michigan and managed care authorizations, renewals, effective dates, and expiration dates Follow up on pending referrals, authorizations, assessments, and missing documentation Coordinate with clients, caregivers, caseworkers, insurance plans, healthcare providers, and internal staff Maintain consistent communication and follow-up to prevent delays or interruptions in services Monitor client service hours and changes in authorized services Maintain accurate and complete client and caregiver records Coordinate caregiver onboarding requirements and ensure necessary documentation is completed Assist with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) setup, scheduling, and troubleshooting Monitor EVV issues and coordinate corrections with caregivers, billing, and other departments Enter, update, retrieve, and review information across multiple electronic systems and portals Maintain internal spreadsheets, tracking systems, and case status reports Identify discrepancies in eligibility, authorizations, documentation, or service information and work toward resolution Monitor deadlines and proactively follow up on outstanding items Document communications, case updates, and actions taken Assist clients and caregivers with service-related questions and concerns Complete occasional local home visits when documentation, signatures, onboarding, or client support is needed Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies and applicable requirements Help identify opportunities to improve internal workflows and operational processes Participate in the development and implementation of new projects, systems, and services Assist with documenting procedures and developing standardized workflows Cross-train with other departments to understand agency operations Assist with training and supporting new employees as the department expands Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow tasks through completion Support MVM's continued growth and expansion of Home Help services Experience Required Strong organizational and multitasking skills Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong follow-up skills with the ability to track tasks through completion Professional written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage a high-volume workload and multiple priorities Strong problem-solving and time-management skills Ability to work independently and take initiative Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to work efficiently across multiple electronic systems and portals Ability to maintain accurate and confidential client records Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Experience preferred Healthcare or home care experience Medicaid and Medicare knowledge EVV experience Insurance authorization experience Language requirements
