SERVICE COORDINATOR / CUSTOMER SERVICE
Finger Lakes Automotive & Marine is seeking a dependable, organized, and personable Service Coordinator to join our team in Skaneateles, NY. This position is the central point of communication between our customers and technicians. We need someone who provides excellent customer service, stays organized in a busy environment, and keeps work moving through the shop.
Responsibilities include:
Answering phones and assisting customers at the counter Scheduling service appointments Creating and maintaining repair orders Gathering accurate information about customer concerns Providing customers with estimates and repair updates Coordinating work and priorities with technicians Ordering and tracking parts Preparing invoices and collecting payments Following up with customers when work is completed Keeping the front counter and service process organized The ideal candidate: Communicates clearly and professionally Is comfortable speaking with customers by phone and in person Can manage several active jobs without losing track of details Takes ownership of tasks and follows through Is dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a small team Has automotive, marine, power-equipment, parts, or service-writing experience Direct automotive experience is helpful, but we will consider a strong customer-service candidate who is organized, mechanically interested, and willing to learn.
Compensation and benefits:
$21-$27 per hour, depending on experience and ability Full-time position Paid time off Paid holidays 401(k) Stable weekday schedule Opportunity to grow into greater responsibility This is a hands-on position in a locally owned automotive, marine, and power-equipment business.
